Voltex has finished the design on the S2000 aero kit. The final model will include a full bumper replacement, optional splitter, sidestep, and rear diffuser. The wing will be a Type 9 made for type CR trunk. We are hoping for production to begin soon, please check back for updates!

Rays Engineering has just designed a limited edition black anodized GT center cap. The cap features a real carbon plate and red Volk logo and come in a low and high cap design. It looks pretty slick on dark colored Volk wheels. They fit on GT Series, RE30, TE37 (19inch), and CE28N wheels.

We’re currently taking pre-orders right now. Estimated time of arrival is late August. There will only be 1,000 pieces made, so reserve yours today or you can likely kiss them goodbye.

We’re currently setting up Aaron’s S2000 from Speedventures, with the TEIN Evasive SPEC SR-C coilover kit. The car has a lightweight chassis that has been stitch welded for increased rigidity. After dialing in custom alignment and shock settings, it should produce good results at the track. Check it out at future Speedventures track events.

We recently special ordered a set of Work Emotion XD-9’s in Machined Gloss Black (MBG) for a customer who owns a 350Z. This is the first time we’ve seen this finish on the XD-9 in person. Here at Evasive, we are always looking to modify existing parts to improve lap times. Here is what started off as an Amuse bumper. It’s been cut in half and lowered 20mm with a custom 1 piece splitter molded in place. The 2 piece design allows the bottom section to be mounted on the chassis, increasing its aero efficiency. A custom duct has also been put in place to allow direct cold air to a J’s Racing snorkel. All work is done in house. Give us a call if you would like any custom modifications done.

In conjuction with TEIN, Evasive Motorsports is proud to present the Evasive SPEC TEIN Series for track enthusiasts. TEIN has customized these parts with specifications by Evasive Motorsports. These specifications are the result of continuous testing by Evasive Motorsports on the race track. The final products presented here are optimized for road racing. We only work with the best to bring you the best!

The Evasive SPEC version of the TEIN SR-C includes both smaller base valve and corresponding smaller diameter shims. All other aspects of the damper remain the same as an off the shelf SR-C kit. Why was this set-up created?

In both base valves (normal and small) there is a bypass. This bypass controls oil flow at low speed damping. (Slow Speed Damping is most related to initial steering response). The bypass valve is smaller on the TEIN Evasive SPEC SR-C, increasing the ability to control the oil flow, and the damping force is greater at slow piston speed than a normal base valve spec coilover. This results in improved initial steering response, which can easily be felt on turn-in.

The smaller shims allow for quicker damping force (DF) response with its reduced diameter. The faster DF response means quicker steering response, quicker transition from compression to rebound and vice versa… allowing the damper to react more quickly to any type of movement.

Smaller shims also have a greater range of motion in terms of bending. This allows for more oil control at low speed damping. The larger shims have more of an on/off type movement at low speed damping.

Although the price is higher than the regular SR-C, there’s been extensive time and work from both TEIN and Evasive to develop these. If you’re serious about the track, you will definitely not be dissappointed.

Our photos from the Redline Time Attack event this past weekend at Big Willow are now up. We ran into a few oil issues with our Project EVO but had a fairly eventful weekend with testing. We ran our best pass at 1:23.3, equipped with Yokohama a005 and TEIN Evasive SPEC SR-C Coilovers. We are looking forward to running the same setup next time at Buttonwillow.

Our S2000 set the record for the fastest Street Class S2000 ever at Big Willow with the time of 1:32.4. The S2000 ran on Yokohama Neova 8008 and was also equipped with TEIN Evasive SPEC SR-C (now available).
